PROJECTS > 2 FROGS (FEATURE FILM)
Marie Deschamps, a 20 year old French-Canadian girl, drops out of college to pursue her dreams in Western Canada. But like every good trip, nothing goes as planned. It's in Whistler, British Columbia, that she meets Jean-François, a French-Canadian guy who has established his life out west. Thoughout their adventures, J-F will introduce Marie to his roomates and to his passion for the mountains.
This feature film project was developed with the help of SODEC and Telefilm Canada. This support was a major turning point for the film.
The project, created by Dany Papineau, is produced by Marc S. Grenier of Locomotion Films and directed by Grégoire Bédard. The film will be shot in winter 2009 and out in theaters before the Whistler Olympics of 2010.

In January 2008, Gregoire is officially attached to the project as the director and teams up with Dany for writing the script.
The project was submitted in production at SODEC on April 11th and Telefilm Canada on April 25th.
Not long after the deposits, the composer Jérôme Boisvert, who previously worked with Grégoire, started working on the music for the film. The song Live my dream was composed after his own trip through the Canada in summer 2005. Recorded in spring 2008 at Momentum studio, the song interpreted by Stéphanie Robert describes the poignant inner travel of Marie during her trip to the west coast.
In July, a FaceBook group and a web site have been created about 2 Frogs. Pre-casting sessions for the main role started in mid-July. |
